It’s Pumpkin Day!

Actually, I have no idea when that is, because I didn’t check the calendar, but we went and got pumpkins for our house today.

Hannah was telling everyone who would listen that “It’s Pumpkin Day!” Of course she had to choose the biggest pumpkin in the field.

Aly is at that weird stage with her autism where she’s cognitively very childlike, but is also an adult so she isn’t 100% excited, but if I were to dare leave her out she would meltdown entirely. She picked a large-ish pumpkin, and made mom carry it.

We won’t be carving until the weekend before Halloween. We make a fall harvest display on or porch with them while we wait.

Hannah wants to turn her white pumpkin into Hedgewig from Harry Potter. I found the above picture on Facebook. Do you think that’s doable for an 8 year old?

Share your fall adventures in the comments. This is my favorite time of year.
