Book Review: If I Die Tonight by Alison Gaylin

I spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week with earbuds in my ears. Most days I listen to podcasts or something from Pandora’s box of music, but our library also does digital audiobooks, so I thought I’d give one a try.

On a dark, rainy night, a washed up pop singer is carjacked. A football player rushes to the scene and is run over by the car. The entire town is devastated and everyone wants answers, but are they as obvious as they seem?

Wade is a quiet, lonely teen. He doesn’t seem to have many friends. He definitely doesn’t talk to his mother about what’s going on in his life, but is it possible that the town is right when they start blaming the accident on him?

This book kept me guessing almost to very end. I love books with a mystery twist and when they stir an emotional response, that makes it even better.

I definitely recommend giving it a listen or a read.
