Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowls

Hello Lovelies!! It’s officially summer break for us and I’m already tired. I wish I had gotten more packing done while the girls were school, because they are not exactly helpful now. Hannah has already entered the “I want to do something” phase of summer break. Yesterday her something was make breakfast.

I taught her how to make Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowls in our Ninja Blender. I have no fear letting her do this because she can’t accidentally turn it on and get yogurt on my ceiling. Her favorite part was cutting up the bananas and strawberry slices to go on top.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek Yogurt we use light n fit
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • 1 TBSP honey
  • 1/4 cup granola I love Bear Naked Triple Berry Granola
  • 1/3 ripe banana sliced thin
  • 2 fresh strawberries cut into slices

Directions

  1. Blend together the whole ripe banana, frozen strawberries, yogurt, milk and honey until smooth.
  2. Pour the smoothie into a bowl.
  3. Sprinkle with the granola and sliced fruit.
  4. Serve immediately.

Makes 1 serving.

This is a super easy breakfast that tastes like summer. I foresee us making this at least once a week, but maybe substituting other seasonal fruits for the strawberries.

Have fun cooking with your kids!
